Common questions

Does CamStream need an account?

No. Nothing to sign up for, and every feature works without one. The one place an address is asked for is optional and comes later: reading the reply to a support report, which needs somewhere to reply to.

What can connect to the phone once CamStream is running?

Anything that speaks ONVIF Profile S or plays RTSP: a network video recorder, a home-automation system, or a desktop player on the same network.

Does my video go through your servers?

No. The stream is served by the phone directly to whoever is watching on the local network. Only crash reports and anonymous usage statistics leave the device.

Is CamStream free?

Yes, within the limits described on its Google Play listing. CamStream Pro is an optional subscription that lifts them.

Which version of Android does it need?

Android 10 or later.
